Our commitment to corporate re-use and recycling

In an era of massive growth in electronic equipment and Information Technology (IT) the UK is responsible for producing about 900,000 tonnes of electrical and electronic waste each year including many office machines. Legislation is in place to encourage businesses to recover, recycle and re-use machines in order to cut down on industrial waste and the harmful effects this can have on the environment, wildlife and human health.

CRC is proud of its long-standing ethos and commitment to repair, service and maintain most kinds of electronic office equipment. For more than 25 years we have recognised the need to maximise the re-use potential of equipment and minimise their impact on the environment. Alternatively if you do want to dispose of your old electronic office equipment then we will take-back and dispose of this for you when you buy a new machine in its place.

Servicing & Repairs Service

We offer customers a comprehensive servicing, maintenance, refurbishment and repair service. We can offer a personally tailored service to meet your individual, organisational or business needs.

With the company's team of experienced and highly skilled electronic engineers, CRC are leaders in the field of independent office equipment servicing and repairs. We have specialist product knowledge of many obsolete and current office machines and strive to provide a fast low cost maintenance and repairs service of the highest quality. So far as it is reasonable, equipment is restored as closely as possible to condition as new, in performance and appearance.

Generally we support the repair of most kinds of office equipment including calculators, typewriters, word processors, fax machines, dictation equipment, copiers, printers, scanners, label, sticker, laminator and magnet makers, document binders, cutting systems and other craft products, teaching aids and more, all to the same standard of excellence. Though broad, our remit does not extend to Personal and Macintosh Computers.

Take-back and Recycling Scheme

By law you must not dispose of any electrical or electronic equipment in the normal waste stream and thereby end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health. It must be disposed of in an environmentally sound way to enable recycling and re-use of components from such equipment.

To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin.

In line with current legislation (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulation 2006), if you buy electrical and electronic equipment from us then we will take back and dispose of your old electrical and electronic equipment on your behalf in an environmentally sound way. We do not charge for taking and disposing of your WEEE items but customers are required to pay for any costs incurred in returning the item to us.

This will be on a one-for-one basis, as long as the new equipment is of a similar type and has the same function as the old equipment and the item is sent to us within one month of the date of purchase of the replacement product.
